Absolutely love my engagement ring from Cornelis Hollander!!! My fiance and I worked with Walter to have a diamond I inherited set into a new setting. The entire process was easy and Walter was very professional. We were considering other options from Hamras, Tiffany's and Cartier, but I loved this design and wanted something more unique. I couldn't be happier with how the ring turned out! These iphone pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend C.H. if you're looking to have custom work done! 🙂 Just updating to add that we had Walter make me a wedding band with pink diamonds & it turned out beautiful!!! It compliments the ring perfectly. I also like having the band to wear by itself when I travel overseas since it is less flashy. It is very cute, almost heart-shaped, and looks great on it's own! FYI - the photo of the two rings together was also taken with my iphone, so the quality isn't great.

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. I have a Cornelis Hollander wedding ring that I purchased elsewhere many years ago. I LOVE my ring. It is stunning and unique as are all of the Cornelis Hollander designs. Unfortunately, I developed a gold contact allergy and went into Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs to have it reset in platinum. I happened to run into Tina who helped me when I originally bought the ring. It was a wonderful gift to see her again and she was very understanding about my allergy and very helpful. ( I have gone to other jewelers who were not as understanding about my allergy regarding other pieces.) I haven't gotten the ring back yet but I can't wait! If you want a beautiful piece of jewelry from a great, helpful crew, look no further!

This is my favorite jewelry store to go and look around. All the jewelry is hand made and one of a kind! Always kind people working here that help you out and explain everything clear. We got our Wedding rings here, after talking with the owner he supplied us with what jewel works with the right metal we choose for our rings. Outstanding customer service. I had a very special case, where my beautiful ring of over 23 years got stolen during a summer vacation. This ring was a gift from my dear mother in law. I was able to track and contact the designers, which are Cornelis Hollander. The care and personalized service I received was like no other. They provided me with a detailed document that described the specifications of the ring precisely to present it to my insurance company. It is not easy to provide specifications of a ring that was purchased over 23 years ago. But with patience and their expertise, they were able to do so. This was a very emotional matter to me, Walter and Christa and their whole team were empathetic and very supportive. I can't wait to work with them, hopefully soon, to design a replica of my ring to honor my mother in law. Thank you Cornelis Hollander and the whole team, you have set the bar very high !

Walter and the team at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry were outstanding. From email response to in-person customer service, I felt confident that they would be able to handle my needs. My first job was fairly standard with the sizing of a platinum band, while my second job was to restore an antique heirloom ring. The job entailed shank replacement where yellow gold was used instead of rose gold plus sapphire replacement to match the original center stone. Both rings were completed beautifully, but Walter exceeded my expectations by ensuring my antique was fully restored with new prongs to ensure it will last another 100+ years. I highly recommend Cornelis Hollander Jewlery whether you want a custom piece, a more traditional piece or just your everyday repairs.

I had been looking for a unique, modern style for my wedding ring for a while when I met another girl whose ring caught my eye. Following her advice, I checked out the Cornelis Hollander store when I was in old town Scottsdale one day, and just fell in love with his designs. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And unlike chain stores, where what you see is it, here they encourage you to be creative, pick and choose different parts of different rings that you like to come up with something truly your own. And Cornelis himself is there most of the time to help with the design process. We ended up feeling like he was more of a friend than just a jeweler. I get random people complimenting me on my ring all of the time now. Highly recommend!

Dec 2020With my upcoming wedding anniversary coming up, I went and met with Walter to look at the various ring designs in person for a custom piece my husband was getting me. Mind you, I already knew that my new ring would be a Cornelis Hollander band- I fell in love with his designs the first time I saw them at least 10yrs ago and I finally was ready to get what I really wanted...And I wanted a Green Tourmaline ring like the one Cornelis Hollander designed!He was very helpful even at our first in person consultation and then we kept in contact over email within the next weeks with the various details of the ring design and cost estimates. At no point did I feel pressured or like Walter was being a "sales person", the whole process really felt casual, flexible... and I felt heard and understood and never rushed or pushed. When I got the visual of the approximate ring, I was so excited and then when I went in to try the wax sample, I was elated- their rings have a heft and a bold look to them that I just love and I didn't have a doubt it would be gorgeous once cast. I am in love with this beauty!Walter, thank you so much for your patience and working with me to get the piece I've been wanting for a decade! I feel so proud just to have this little piece of your father's creative legacy!

From the moment I walked in with my family to their store I knew that this place was perfect for what we were looking for. Tina and Walter were so welcoming and easy to work with. They really took my ideas and turned them into a reality- something that I did not know was possible. What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. I was given a diamond ring that has been in a drawer for over 5 years. It was lovely, but not my style. I took the ring to Cornelis and asked him to reset it in a different design. I picked it up today and it took my breath away. The ring is exquisite! It brought tears to my eyes, because instead of being kept in a drawer these diamonds will be kept on my finger. I had a number of family heirloom pieces that I wanted to recreate into custom designed, modern pieces. Tina and crew were OUTSTANDING!! I made an appointment and they spent over two hours with me reviewing the items I had, and offering design ideas for new pieces. They provided final designs via CAD visuals and their recommendations were incredible! They helped consolidate an overwhelming number of pieces into a few beautiful, modern pieces that will preserve my family heirlooms and create items I will enjoy wearing. When my partner and I decided to go to California to get married, we appreciated his advertising geared to the "community" so we decided to go to his shop, and we are so glad we did. I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Although as Walter said, " I'm happy to make you anything you like, but no more engagement rings!"

Wow! This place has gorgeous one-of-a kind jewelry! The location has a nice open feeling with lots of natural light so you can see how the jewelry looks in natural light. I brought my ring in to get it appraised. It is a family run business, Christa, the owner was super nice and introduced me to Walter, her son who went in the back to proceed with the appraisal. In the mean time, I perused and looked at the rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. They are honest and give great advice. There were so many piece that caught my eye, I'll definitely be back to buy a unique piece of jewelry art!

I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn't know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother's engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can't recommend him enough!!

First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring!
